Lake Forest/Mitylene Forest E-Newsletter
Get Ready for the Neighborhood Yard Sale!

Dear Neighbor Visitor,

Spring has sprung! Time for a little Spring Cleaning!

President's Message

Spring is a time for growth, and for thinking about a fresh start. We are applying these ideas to our neighborhood association.

In the coming months, we have plans for growing our membership and incorporating new ideas from you about how we can make our neighborhood better. We're planning a membership drive, and will continue to use our website, Facebook page and other social media to improve our connections.

If you haven't already connected with us on our social media channels, there are links at the end of this newsletter where you can find us. These tools are for you, to help you share information with your neighbors, so add your voice to the conversation!

We look forward to sharing more news with you in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for the April newsletter, and in the meantime let us know your ideas and thoughts. If you have a news item you'd like to see in the next newsletter, you can email it directly to our secretary, Wendi Lewis, at

Neighborhood Yard Sale

Do a little Spring Cleaning and earn some extra money by participating in the Neighborhood Yard Sale on Saturday, April 9. Sale hours are 7 a.m.-11 a.m. The Association will advertise the sale in the Montgomery Advertiser and other publications, so we are hoping for a great turnout!

East Montgomery Neighborhood Alliance

The next meeting of the East Montgomery Neighborhood Alliance is scheduled for Thursday, April 14. Robert Smith, Director of Planning at Montgomery's Department of Planning and Development, will be the featured speaker. We hope to gain additional knowledge about Mr. Smith's department functions and how our members can stay informed of its activities.

The meeting will be held at the First Christian Church, located at 1705 Taylor Road, at the corner of Taylor Road and Berryhill Road. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there!
