FAQs - Law / Regulation Violations Reporting

The City of Montgomery has leash laws that require all domestic animals to be leashed and

under control of their owner when not on private property. Pet owners should also clean up

after their pets’ deposits on personal as well as common property. We request that all

residents respect the rights of others to a clean and safe environment. Failure to observe

these laws can result in a fine being issued by Montgomery Animal Control.

If residents cannot resolve a situation between themselves, then please turn to your Association. Should you have a situation that does not appear to be resolved through neighborly means, contact a Board member to explain the situation.

If the act is in progress, call 911 and report to the police; otherwise, call 311 for non-emergencies by dialing 3-1-1 or 240-4636 Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Animal control issues should be directed to the Montgomery County Humane Shelter @ 409-0622. For more information, click HERE.

If possible, take a photo of the suspected vandalism or crime. Parents of minor children (under the age of 18) are responsible for acts of vandalism and will be held financially responsible for the repair or replacement of any damages in Lake Forest/Mitylene Forest.
